# How to transfer a member between teams in the Vendor Portal

If a user belongs to a team that is no longer active within your organization, you can transfer this user to a new team.
For example, if your user with email address [staff@test.com](mailto:staff@test.com) is currently a member of the **test** team, and you want to move this member to your newly created **qa** team, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your **test** team account
2. Click **Team** in the top right hand corner of the Vendor Portal
3. Locate and verify that **[staff@test.com](mailto:staff@test.com)** appears in the Team Members list
4. Login your **qa** team account
5. Click **Team** in the top right hand corner of the Vendor Portal
6. Enter the email address **[staff@test.com](mailto:staff@test.com)**
7. Select the appropriate permissions for the new member
8. Click **Invite Member**
