# KOTS indicates I need to install Velero 1.5.1 or greater?

I need to create a Snapshots (KNIMe Business Hub uses Velero) but I have this message (haven’t seen it before).

Have you created a snapshot on this cluster before, or is this a new install? Existing cluster installs require you to install velero in the cluster before you can take a snapshot. More info here: [Install the Velero CLI | Replicated Docs](https://docs.replicated.com/enterprise/snapshots-velero-cli-installing)

To get help troubleshooting this, it is best to file a support issue at: [https://support.replicated.com/](https://support.replicated.com/), and include whether this is a KOTS existing cluster install or a kURL embedded cluster install with KOTS, and whether this is a new install, or an install where this previously worked and now doesn’t anymore.
